Know your consumers "Route to Purchase"

A brand's opportunity to attract consumers in the retail environment starts long before those consumers reach the aisle where the product is shelved!

The more communications touch points a brand leverages in the retail environment, the more likely it is that the consumer will hear and react to that brand's message!

For example in the FMCG environ from the car park, to trolley, to the aisle, to the till, we have tracked the consumer's "route to purchase" and picked out a number of the key touch points along the way, offering suggestions for how best to leverage these.

Dedicated Installers

Our POS Compliance Guide found that some of the main barriers to POS not being displayed correctly (or sometimes at all!) in-store included lack of instructions on use.  After spending your much stretched budget on POS to see it displayed incorrectly, or not at all, is very disheartening. And because we know most purchase decisions are made in store we know how important POS is!

Therefore it might be worth considering your options:

·        Invest in clear instruction manuals to go along with POS kits

·        Run a monthly competition for best displays

·        Train a team of dedicated installers/merchandisers (see below example from Coca-Cola HBC Team) and have them communicate with your POS producers.

·        Hire TPI to do the one off special key account jobs
